Learn about the languages, traditions and values of Alaska's natives as you visit this beautiful 26 acre heritage center.  Offers an 18 minute introductory video, exhibits, dancer and storytellers.  See Native artisans create their art.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS-  Stroller friendly.  Lots of interactive experiences keep the little ones interested.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS-  Very expensive for a family even with the family pass.

The kids will be entertained for hours with the fun, interactive exhibits!  See the Northern Lights, pet a turtle, and dance inside a real bubble.  Each day there are interesting science demonstrations. 
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS-  So much for the kids to do!   They should be happily entertained for hours.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS-  Parking is on-street (if you can find it) or in paid parking lots.

 

Family Friendly Travel Tip:
Older children can use time in the car or airplane to learn a new craft.  There are some great books about learning to knit, crochet and cross-stitch.  Your child will be occupied and have a sense of accomplishment when they have completed a project by the end of the journey.
