ACTIVITIES:
WAIMANALO- SEA LIFE PARK HAWAII
41-202 Kalanianaole Hwy #7, Waimanalo
866.365.7446
www.sealifeparkhawaii.com
COST: $29 adults/ $19 children (age 3 - 11)
HOURS: Daily 9a - 5p
This sea life park is a great size for a family, especially with
young children. There are many fun things to see and do
but it's not as overwhelmingly large as many of the popular mainland
sea life attractions. Dolphins perform at different times
through the day. There is a Reef Aquarium to see the sea life
from above and below the water surface. There is a Sea Bird
Sanctuary where sea birds are rehabilitated. Other
areas include the Sea Turtle Lagoon, Penguin Habitat, and Sting Ray
Lagoon.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- The kids like the hands on area
where they can touch starfish. They also loved the dolphin
performances (and begged to sit in the front so they could get
splashed!).
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Very pricey, especially for a large
family. Some areas inside require an additional fee.
WAIPAHU- PLANTATION VILLAGE

www.hawaiiplantationvillage.org
COST: $13 adults/ $5 children (age 4 - 11), $10 Seniors (age
62+).
HOURS: Mon - Sat 10a - 2p
This outdoor museum depicts life on an early 1900s sugar
plantation. There is a mix of replicated and
authentic restored buildings scattered across about 50 acres.
There are guided tours on each hour.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- It was really interesting for the
whole family to see the workings of a sugar plantation.
The tour moves at a good pace to keep interest.
