If your daughter loves American Girl Dolls and Books, she will
never forget a visit to American Girl Place. The
multi-level store is amazing and features several museum-like
displays. There is a doll hair salon and a photo studio where
your child's photo can be put on her own special American Girl
magazine cover (additional fee for both). The Theater features
two shows; one for older children (American Girl Revue) and
one for younger children (Bitty Bear's Matinee: The Family
Tree). A meal in the cafe is lots of fun. They offer
little high chairs for dolls that have been brought with, or they
even have 'loaner' dolls if you child has not brought theirs.
The meals are tasty and presented in a child friendly manner.
The wait staff was attentive and friendly.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Lots
for a little American Girl fan to see. The cafe and shows are
very child friendly.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Younger children are not allowed in the
American Girl Revue. There is a fee for parking and it is not
easy to find a spot that is located close. The cafe is quite
expensive especially for a family.

Naperville Settlement is a 19th Century historic village museum.
Our review family had a great time here with their young children.
There was much more to see than they expected. There's even a
kid's area where they can dress up and play with all sorts of things
from that period. There are outdoor picnic areas onsite and
there are restaurants within walking distance. The parking lot
is located on the corner of Webster St and Porter Ave.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Kept
even young children entertained with interactive activities.
Educational as well as fun! Try to visit during
April - October when the costumed interpreters are around and the
interior of the buildings are open to view.
