Though small, this aquarium offers a wonderful opportunity to
learn about animal rescue efforts and to get close up to amazing sea
life. They have special animal presentations at
different times on some days (call to find out the schedule).
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Great variety of sea life. The
presentations were fun. The kids really learned a lot about
rescue efforts.

Learn about the history of the Dunedin area in this charming
museum located in the old train station. Lots of artifacts on
display. The displays are separated and easy to follow.
There are scattered hands-on activities throughout.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- The hands on activities were a nice
touch. Good variety of displays.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Small and the children were
eager to go rather quickly. For the price, it was well worth
the short stop though.
MARIANNA-
FLORIDA CAVERNS STATE PARK

The Florida Caverns State Park offers a variety of family fun
activities, from camping to hiking and swimming. Some
activities include an additional fee. One of the best
activities is the Cave Tour. This is the only Florida State
Park with cave tours open to the public. The kids loved to see
all of the amazing limestone formations, including stalactites and
stalagmites.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Interesting and informative. After
touring the caves, you can spend some time hiking and enjoying all
of the other fun things in the park.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Cave Tour is not stroller
friendly. Remember to have the kids use the restroom before
the cave tour.
ORLANDO-
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER VISITOR

HOURS: Daily 9 am - 6 pm
Kennedy Space Center offers a full-day educational and
entertaining experience, primarily for families with older children.
The above mentioned ticket price includes a bus tour of the
facility, IMAX space movies, and entry into the Astronaut Hall of
Fame. The bus tour takes about two hours to complete, since
you can get off at different stops to explore then get back on the
bus at your leisure. Since the facility is located in a
wildlife preserve, you might see some animals or even alligators if
you keep an eye out.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Educational and entertaining.
There are many hands-on interactive activities that will entertain
older children. Though the price seems high, you can spend the
whole day here making it more reasonably priced.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Food is really pricey, so be
prepared for that if you are spending the day. Not very
entertaining for young children; they will likely get bored
quickly.
